Terms of Service
These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Sconim Holdings LLC (“we”, “us”) about your use of the Embody app. By downloading or using Embody, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
What Embody is
Embody is an app for practicing the Law of Assumption, a spiritual and philosophical framework taught by Neville Goddard. It offers practices, lessons and reflection tools to use according to your own beliefs.
The Law of Assumption is not established science, and Embody makes no promise about any particular result in your life. A hard season is never a sign that you did something wrong.
Not professional advice
Embody is not medical, psychological, financial or legal advice, and it is not a substitute for care from a qualified professional. Don’t delay or stop seeking professional help because of something in the app.
If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, contact your local emergency number now. In the United States, you can call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
Who can use Embody
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country, to use Embody. If you are under 18, or the age of majority where you live, please use it with the permission of a parent or guardian.
Free trial and subscription
- Embody is available by subscription, starting with a free trial. The trial length and the price are shown before you start.
- When the trial ends, your subscription begins and renews automatically each month or year, depending on the plan you chose, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your account settings there. Deleting the app does not cancel it.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. If the price changes, you’ll be told in advance as the store and the law require.
Your content
What you create in Embody (your Realities, journal, assumptions and anything else you add) belongs to you. It is stored on your device, so please keep your own backups; we can’t restore it if it’s lost or erased.
Using Embody fairly
Please don’t:
- break the law, or use Embody to harm, harass or deceive anyone;
- try to get around subscriptions, rate limits or other protections, or access our server other than through the app;
- copy, modify, resell or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it;
- overload, disrupt or try to break into the app or our server.
Third-party content and services
Embody includes or links to things we don’t control, such as websites you save to your Realities. They are provided as they are, under their owners’ terms, and we aren’t responsible for them.
Our app
The app, its design and its original text, sessions and artwork belong to Sconim Holdings LLC or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Embody on devices you own or control, for as long as you follow these Terms.
We may change, add or remove features, and may suspend or end access if these Terms are seriously broken. You can stop using Embody at any time.
Disclaimers
To the extent the law allows, Embody is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We don’t promise that it will always be available or free of errors.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Sconim Holdings LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of Embody. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Embody in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of the country you live in requires otherwise.
Personalized replies
Some replies in Embody, such as the Assumption Coach’s, are written by artificial intelligence (AI). They can be wrong or incomplete, so please use your own judgment.
If you downloaded Embody from the App Store
These Terms are between you and Sconim Holdings LLC, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Embody or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it, and is not responsible for any claims relating to it. If Embody fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price, if any, and Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We’ll change the date below, and for important changes we’ll let you know in the app before they take effect. If you keep using Embody after that, you accept the updated Terms.
